Grovelands Primary School
At Grovelands Primary School we recognise the importance of a history based on truth. We acknowledge the past, seek truth in the present and commit to making change in the future.
In partnership with our local community, we will:
- Continue to reflect upon and develop our knowledge creating a deeper understanding and respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures.
- Ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are respectfully included in our policies, planning and practice.
- Actively work to ensure all students receive a strengths-based and culturally responsive environment that provides equal and equitable educational outcomes for all students.
- We will form authentic connections and respectful relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, facilitating opportunities to engage with our school community.
- Create a welcoming school environment that acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Land on which our school stands, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation.
- Build an empowered school community that creates positive change for reconciliation in the wider community.
Together we will strive to create a unified school community.
