We have access to a School Psychologist three days a week to support student learning, behaviour, and wellbeing.
If you have concerns about your child, please speak with their classroom teacher. The teacher can then consider a referral to the Student Services Team. If the teacher has concerns, they will always discuss these with you first before taking any further steps.
Our School Chaplain provides pastoral care for students through one-on-one support and group activities, using a variety of programs to promote social and emotional wellbeing.
Parents can request chaplaincy support for their child by contacting the school.
Our School Health Nurse visits regularly to support student wellbeing and development. Duties include vision and hearing screening for Kindergarten students, with families notified in advance of these visits.
If you have any concerns about your child’s health, please speak with their classroom teacher. Addressing specific health issues early is important, as they can impact a child’s physical, emotional, social, and academic development.
Your child’s safety is our priority. Minor injuries are treated at school, but if your child is unwell or injured, we will contact you to collect them. In emergencies, they may be taken to a doctor or hospital.
If your child requires prescribed medication, please speak with Administration. Let staff know if your child is experiencing emotional stress so we can provide support.
Students at Grovelands PS receive dental care through the Westfield Park PS Dental Therapy Centre (Phone: 9390 8434). Appointment cards for check-ups and treatment are distributed through the school, and year-level screenings are conducted regularly.
If your appointment time is inconvenient, please contact the Dental Therapy Centre to arrange a more suitable time. Your cooperation helps ensure this valuable service runs smoothly for all families.
